Nobody will call you about this request unless you say yes to a company by name.
Contractors quote after seeing the roof, not from a postcode, so where in Cypress you are affects who turns up rather than what you are told.
Close behind that: sudden dry winds that test every lifted edge on the roof. These winds are not constant, which is the problem. A roof gets nine quiet months and then one night at fifty miles an hour, and whatever was marginal goes.
Most asked for around here: gutters and drainage
A roof that drains badly rots at the edges first — fascia, soffit, then the ends of the rafters. All of it cheaper to prevent than to replace.
Questions
How many contractors will contact me?
No more than three. We picked that number because two quotes is not enough to spot an outlier and five is an ordeal.
Are the contractors licensed and insured?
Contractors have to give us their state licence number and proof of liability and workers compensation cover before they can receive requests. You should still ask to see current certificates yourself before work starts — a licence can lapse between checks.
What happens to my information?
It goes to a maximum of three roofing contractors working in Cypress, and to nobody else. We do not sell it as a mailing list and we do not post it anywhere public. Our privacy policy sets out exactly what is shared.
